Vampire: Who plays?

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Vampire: Who plays?

Post by FalseAbsolution »

I was wondering who all that posts plays. So what do you all play, and what style do you play as well. Clan, Sect, Style, and how long you've played.

Malkavian-Antitribu, Sabbat, I like to play Live Action with the Table Top rules, i've played for about 5 years now.
My thoughts are my bible, that's what I live by.

I've not played in years but heres what I did play. All tabletop.

Vampire: Malkivian or Brujah, depending on scenerio.

Werewolf: Bonegnawer or Glass Walker.

Mage: CoE

We played a pretty mixed group, one or 2 from all settings, it usually depended on what someone wanted to play. We're playing Aden set in D20 D&D and Mutants and Masterminds now.

I'm gonna run either a Spycraft game or a Armageddon 2089 game.

Haven't played since about 1990 or 91, but I had a good time with a solid, regular cast who didn't mind at all taking turns as Storyteller. I played a 5th Generation Toreador. Strictly tabletop.

Tabletop.. I played the live action once or twice.. just wasnt my cup of tea.

I have played the same character for...8 years. She is now a 6th gen. Tremere. Too bad there isn't a game locally I'd care to join.

I used to play a *lot* of Mage, but never could get into Vampire. The few times I've played I've played Gangrels.

For a long time I had a very tight-knit group of friends that played something that was in-between live action and tabletop... kind of improv theater style, i guess.

Our Mage campaign (which I mostly GMed) lasted for several years. I haven't really gotten back into RPing since then. It's been at least 4 years since I've played *anything* (even the a particular wop with mob connections was supposed to run a D&D game...)

I've been in the mood here lately to get into something, but I'm not sure about time. I still haven't figured out my 'schedule' since the baby came home.
The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Bender: So it's sorta social, demented and sad, but social. Right?

i havent role played since high school.....lol.
vampire-GUESS. so many people are attracted to the malkavian clan because they are crazy or some shit. i go with em cuz if they were real, id already be one. the court jester thing that holds the cards and knows the truth.....totally unpredicatable....... totally unstable....... IT DESCRIBES ME.
werewolf- depended on mood cuz my chars in werewolf all got god stats FAST.
ad&d- pretty much every race/class combo with the CN align...... leaned towards the powers of the mind (the surefire class to piss off DM's wont even be spoken aloud here) or the ninja handbook when i wasnt playing a CN char...... obviously id quit long before 3rd was in existance, but i did check the book out and i wasnt happy with the new rules cuz you can totally fucking own all with a monk now.....

Hvent played for a few years (3) but always Catiff or nosferatues none of the pretty boy clans (everyone else). If I ever played mage it would have been a Hollow one and either a metis or white howler in WW.

There use to be a Larp thread on the forum but it got toasted in the crash, maybe they willl post again.

I love live action. I've been a stroyteller for the live action Vampire/Werewolfe/Mage/Changling game at DragonCon. And played here in a live action Vampire/Werewolf games years ago. Yeah its cheesy but my favorite vampire clan is assimite and Werewolfe it's Wendigo or Uktena. I have also done tabletop for the above and D&D,Shadowrun,Superheros...ect,ect. BaronNighmare on this board is the one with all the live action gaming info

I seem to have a preference to bite and be bitten in real life.

...a mater of taste, I suppose.

Life is my RPG.....probably why I am doing so poorly.

Hrm..

Played more damn table-top than is healthy.
Helped Louie with the DragonCon larps.
Playtested the Live Action Werewolf rules.
Playtested the Live Action Wraith rules.
Played Independent larps in Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Gatlinburg for 5 years.
Played in the Camarilla Larps in Chattanooga and Atlanta for 3 years.
Was the Assistant Regional ST for Tennessee for the Camarilla for about two years.
Started the Local Camarilla Larp group here two years ago.

Yep.. I have a big geek resume.

I've played every vampire clan, but I find myself drawn to the nosferatu and giovanni.

In garou I prefer Shadow Lords and Bone-Gnawers.

In the current Changeling larp chronicle I play a RedCap Count. (Yes.. Count Nightmare Nicholas.)

Hunter sucks.

Demon is crack.

Mage.. Traditions suck.. Technocracy rules. I'm all about some Men in Black.

Wraith rocks, but nobody ever plays it.

I prefer Dark Ages vampire to Modern.

If you want information about the local larp group.. check out knoxcam@yahoogroups.com, or send me an email and I'll help hook you up.
