i do miss the old hideaway though.
most of the people at the new one are too clickish and err.. i dunno. they kinda like turn their nose when someone outside of their group comes in.
and that blows because i literally went to the old hideaway every day i wasnt in knoxville and had a fucking blast.
new crowd there? eh. not so much my speed. lol.

Come to this show! It will be packed out and fun. this will not be a normal night at The hideaway .... as it is First Friday and they will be blocking the streets. Its April Fools day! It is the tacO piMp punk rock compilation cd release, and tacO piMp shows are off the hook.
Im not sure what you mean by the new crowd? It swings so much ... depending on the particular show, and the regulars you dont fit in with are probably too drunk to know when to pee! .... in all seriousness you should come...if for no other reason come for the music, it is an incredible line-up. I wont talk to many people myself....but Ill be dancing. Look for me!

was referring to when the it was in the old location with that crowd.
i still go there sometimes, i have friends that still go alot so i go with them or if im just drunk downtown and need a beerdive. lol.
im sure ill hit this too. probably bring all my boys too, always more fun when ya travel in a pack... lol.
ill spread the word some around my crowd.

Nashville used to be one of the best towns in the region for us. We use to play there often back in the day...when Donnie Kendall of The Rednecks In Pain was booking shows there. I think we played Melrose Square, and The National Guard party, f.u.c.t. , and The Violent Marshmellows, Bunny Yum, Teenage Love ... fun times , no doubt, The Cannery, The 321 or 432 or some shit, Lucy's Record Shop, Musicians Wherehouse, Rick Cobble recorded us at Turnley Studio. We played Elliston Square (The END) and some other mic. shows around there. Last time we played Nashville we played at the End for the man from Tokyo .... MASA, a few old scholl folks, and oh..... Donnie Kendall showed up too! tenative- toop!

(Johnson City, TN) Taco Pimps Rawkus House Parties and the Hideaway in Johnson City presents a First Friday punk show in conjunction with the cityâ€™s Downtown First Friday festivities. The Hideaway is located at 235 East Main Street in Johnson City and the show is open to those 18 and up. Doors open at 8:00.

The bill consists of 6 punk bands that continue to bring some of the most exciting and creative bands that the region has to offer to the same stage. Headlining the show will be the highly acclaimed Yuppie Pricks from Texas. Recently signed to the legendary Alternative Tentacles label and best described as a `reverse psychologyâ€™ punk band, their music has much in common with the Buzzcocks and the Sex Pistols with an unmistakable Dead Kennedyâ€™s approach. From naked sushi-girls to silver champagne buckets, Yuppie Pricks surround themselves with onstage antics that supplement their sonically devastating sounds and provide the common people a brief reprieve from their mundane middle class existence, providing a tantalizing taste of the high life, they could never begin to afford.

The night is also the CD Release Party for the popular Taco Pimp House Partyâ€™s which features a compilation of the bands that have played past `rawkus house partiesâ€™. Friday Night features Taco Pimp favs, Scullsoup and the Business Machines as well as Virginiaâ€™s Skabones and Stations. Completing the bill is Ohioâ€™s, Legbone, who was recently signed to Rock Ridge Music.

Taco Pimp Roaming Rawkus House Parties is seeing itâ€™s many of a series of shows in East Tennessee for underground rock bands in the region get a good venue, a good crowd and exposure.
