Halloween Stuff updates

Post by karlaBOO »

I've been on the lookout for Halloween goodies already. So far, it seems that Joann has things out. I haven't been to Michael's or A.C. Moore to check.

Please post Halloween finds here from now into the actual Halloween season.

In the past Target gets there stuff out right after "Back to School", but occasionally they put some things out early. I'm excited about seeing their themes this year. They usually have a nice "vintage" Halloween theme, which is what I'm looking for.. ..

The Halloween Store that used to be in the old Service Merchandise out west will be in the old Wynn's Sporting Goods store off Clinton Highway. That is the same shopping center as the Walmart.

It opens August 25th!!!!! (confirmed date)

Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

They were unboxing Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff the last time I was there.

I don't think they'll likely have much Halloween stuff because it is a big Christian company....

Hobby Lobby is a BIG disappointment - they're mostly home decor (pronounced "cheesy fake flowers and tacky faux-ethnic dustcatchers") and scrapbooking anyway.

I have it on fairly good authority that Big Lots! now has their Halloween stuff out and it's pretty damn good. Big skulls, tombstones, etc. Must go shopping this weekend!

I got some cool stuff from big lots yesterday!

Also....some cute things at the Dollar Tree...they have some adorable plastic tumblers!

There are a few things at Joanns I MUST have. I've already gotten alot of their halloween fabric this year....

Hopefully this weekend I will get to hit up Knoxville...

I hit Joann, Hobby Lobby (west), and Michael's on Labor Day.

Picked up some fabric and button's at Joann (wanted to get more). Their Halloween section was good, but they used to carry so much more. I like the more vintage looking stuff, and they had a teensy bit of it. They had some fabric I've been dying for, and I had just told Jason that Knoxville never gets cool fabric. LOL.

Hobby Lobby was ok. They have the entirety of the old Service Merchandise space, by Marshall's. They only had one aisle of Halloween, tucked between Fall, and X-mas. They had like five aisles of X-mas. >:P I do like their beads and embellishments though.

Michael's was HIGHLY disappointing. God, it was awful. One aisle of Halloween. ONE AISLE. I'm hoping they get more. I had heard that they had some cute things that I would want. So, I went looking for something specific that they ended up not having. They did have some cute treat buckets with vintage Halloween things decoupaged on them. Ehhh... :-?

Last I went to Target they had LAST YEARS Halloween T-shirts out.

Waiting, and trying to be patient.............................

That really sucks!

Target usually has so many cute things! That is one of the places I plan on going to this weekend...

And Michaels?? ONE AISLE?? Halloween just gets no respect!

It pisses me off that places have so much christmas crap out, but are totally neglecting halloween!

The things at joanns I'm still lacking I'm going to wait on...Stuff that will go on sale. Mostly little things.

I already got fabric, a BOO! door mat, some ready to paint wooden stuff, the cookie cutter set, buttons, and one of the wooden 'have a spooky day' signs.

Unfortunately the Boo! doormat won't fit outside my door. It's too thick :( I've been looking for a nice one FOREVER, finally find one, and it doesn't fit!! grrr...so, I put it inside.

I've been looking for a few years for a tablecloth for my kitchen (which is done in halloween) for the most part, all I ever see are the cheapie vinyl ones that are reallllly ugly. But joanns had black and white fabric with little skeletons on it for tablecloths this year. I jumped on that! Still haven't made it yet....and I don't think they have anymore left....

They may have it at the other location, which I've never been to...

I went to Target last night, and didn't find a whole lot of halloween stuff....I did find some super adorable halloween knee socks though!

I asked the cashier when the halloween stuff would be out...she radioed someone, and they said starting next week! YAY!

I checked out the halloween store in windsor square...not too much for me there. Alot of the stuff, I've seen for years now.

I did get 3 goblets: a Freddy, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Jason one!

The Big Lots a couple doors down had a few cute things. Got some ribbon, and a black and orange bat rug from there.

Went to Party City....they have some OK stuff there. Way too much fall harvesty-stuff for my tastes. Got some costumey stuff there.

I need to go to more places...and I will as soon as I get over this flu!

My favorite thing to do is set aside some money for the after Halloween sale at Target and JoAnn's. I always get SOO much stuff so damn cheap!

One (extraordinarily hyphenated) word: Wal-motherfucking-greens.

Halloween shit out your ears from late July to mid-November.

And it's because it's walgreens, it's ghetto, so you're in style this half of the decade. And if you aren't, slap the biatch. (S|H)he needed it anyway. ;)

Stopped in yesterday. Good costume selection, and a few decent decorative items. I wasn't overly impressed though. I do have to say though they guarentee they are 15% cheaper than the competition. Prices seemed good for what they had.

I have been looking for a large syringe... Anyone seen one of those anywhere yet?

One of the halloween stores had one last year, but by the time I went to buy it...it sold out!

I've seen one this year, but it came in a 'nurse' set..and it would be silly of me to pay like 50 bucks just to have the syringe, so...

I've wanted to finish this costume for like 3 years now!
