Personally, we haven't been to Sanctus becauze we get a babysitter one weekend night a week & that happenz to be on Saturday, so we go to Temple, but that doezn't mean we can afford to go every Sat. night. Sure, I have to be at work on Sunday morning at 9:00am, but Monday'z I have to be there at 4:00am. Now, I will not explain myself any further & I am certainly not obligated to be at either. I will be at theze events when time, money & a babysitter permits me to. Thank you.

ive been trying to get a scene street team for temple and sanctus for almost a year now and people are too fucking lazy to do it.
it works by you getting the flyers and putting them everywhere you legally can, in as many versions of the flyer as you can.
Wow, this is an awfully long thread, my eyes blurred after a couple of pages but I think I get the gist.
I have 2 suggestions and please forgive me if these suggestions have already been posted by someone else:
1. Take a 3 hour nap late Sunday afternoon.
I nearly died when I went to work Monday morning after my first Sanctus. So I took the aforementioned nap before my second Sanctus and even though I did not get home till 5am I was fine the next day at work (had to be there at 8AM) I grabbed about an hour and a half of sleep when I got home.
2. As far as flyers and having intelligent people, what about putting a flyer up at McKay's books and similar places? I think that might fit your target audience, n'est pas?
I live in Nashville and agree with all those posts about Sunday nights being difficult to arrange with work/life schedules. I also understand how hard it is to convince club owners to give up Friday nights to a group of freaks who MIGHT show up when they could be playing Hip-Hop crap and get a better turn out from the college crowd. Maybe if Sanctus could hold a one-time theme night (fetish night for example) on a Friday, we all could come out and show the club owners it's worth their time to give us a decent night, even if it's only once a month. If their pockets are full o' money, they'll probably be more apt to talk about switching nights!
I also agree with having drink specials; if we're going to be wasted, at least we'd have something to encourage us to buy drinks at the club instead of getting wasted and then coming out to dance (and no, I don't drive drunk). For all of you bitching about schedules, I live three hours away and still find excuses to come out at least three times a year to my FAVORITE goth night this side of the Mississippi. I'm not sure what the final outcome of all this will be, but I'd sure hate to see Sanctus disappear after all the fun I've had there and all the wonderful people I've met throughout the years!

I also live several hours away, and I still make it to every sanctus. We left last sanctus ant the end, and by the time everyone made it home we were still driving...i wasnt driving my brother was. Now im way the hell up here in kentucky but im still making it. I so agree with the reduced price drinks...i say HALF OFF DIRTY BONG WATERS. Give me dirty bong waters or give me death.
So my schedule at work has receintly changed & now I'm a daywalker. This means that I'll be getting to Sanctus early & leaving early. Since I come to dance, I'll be dancing early too! I realize that I may be the only fool on the floor at many points. I invite anyone to join me! I'll dance to just about anything (though I'm only good for about three songs in a row-hack...wheeze) and I'll dance with anyone. (Just don't misinterpret that-I am happily married). I'm certainly not the best scenery or exibition but I have fun and that's all that matters. I've long since quit worring about who's looking.
And I do like looking at all the pics later. My avatar is a really cool one that JaNell took a while back! I sometimes use the pics to show people that we're really not that scary when trying to convince them to come out. I may have a posse next month...
