Apple patents in testing

Multitouch LCD technology in action

This may be old news for some, but the video wasn't widely spread.

For those of you that don't get what's going on here. It's basically a touchscreen LCD monitor that will accept input from multiple touches at the same time. Think of how they used computers in "Minority Report".

If you've ever used a touchscreen, you might have noticed that it won't recognize if you touch it in more than one place at once...or it will act funny and do something completely unexpected. This proposes to change that, with some amazing uses.

That looks like it would be great for computer art, or, better--no, BEST yet, games. I can see some beautiful, innovative new games coming out of those.
Dude, i've got a full on robot chubby.

Yeah, imagine being able to bring up the levels on multiple tracks all at once, just by using your fingers.

..better yet, being able to use a software synthisizer without a keyboard controller because it's right there on the screen for you to play.

heh, I can see it now: instead of hardware, you'd have little screens all over your desk with pictures of mixers, tr-909's, fizmo's, etc.

now if they'd make a screen that could hear sound...or detect eye movement...nah, when I can plug a firewire into the back of my head...oh yea, then I'd make some serious music.
