Turducken???

Post by Misery_Chick »

Thinking of trying it this year since I'm drafting the girls to make the rest of the dinner. Anyone had it? Is it worth the time and effort?

Thoughts?...Anyone?...Anyone?...Bueller?.....Bueller???

never had it. looked up a recipe - and it does sound like it might be good. I'm not sure if it would be worth the effort, though.

I don't have the time to put it together.

I've had it, but I didn't eat the duck. It was okay. The presentation was cool. I didn't see it being made, as it was brought up from "the bayou" by my brother-in-law's mother.

Turducken is my family's traditional Christmas/Solstice celebration food. We've always ordered ours from an online shop, cajungrocer.com. A direct link for the turducken is http://www.cajungrocer.com/fresh-foods-holiday-dishes-c-1_15_24.html. It's wonderful when cooked properly, but if you cook it too long, the turkey dries out and is inedible. The chicken and duck are always good though.
