Does any one remember???

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Patrick, you look VERY familiar to me, but I didn't start going out in Knoxville until about '92. I came home from college (for good), and my best friend started dragging me all over town. That was about the time she started dating Skinhead Scott.

I knew her from 14 and there really is a good strong girl under there, but she thrived on chaos. When she turned 18, the chaos she was used to became moot, so I guess she felt that she had to replace it with created chaos.
After Electra Divorced me, though we'd been out of touch for quite awhile, I gave Candy a place to crash for a few when I lived in 4th & Gill. I think it was mid to late '97.
She was Unappreciative and Bossy rather than a Guest, so I escorted her to the curb after about day 3 and I haven't seen her since.
I Loved her, but I could never live with her.
I heard that she went to the Military, but know no details after that.
Maybe she actually got her life together.
We can definitely Hope.

speaking of Candy
while i was stationed at Fort Meade, i ran into her at DINFOS - i was going throught the photography/Video Editing course , i think she was doing somthing with journalism
she had joined the Navy, that is the last i saw of her, that was in 1999 i believe
most likely if anyone cared i could search military records and figure out where she is today, but i can say that she did seem to be trying to pull her life together at that point

umm ok
did that ana date bill hice from rapscallion battery at one time or another? and was she a design student at UT for a while? if so i think she designed one of my bands logos while we were hanging out in kasis apartment over the mortuary sometime around 91 or 92

yeah, and unfortunately i never got a chance to kick his emotionally abusive ass all over town for it. it took her forever to realize that she wasn't doing anything wrong, that bill was just a prick. i think she met bob soon after ditching him.

ana and i graduated in design together. she's now an art director at hallmark doing stuff with shoebox greetings.

that was sorta my heyday, so that makes sense. i probably shot my big mouth off at you at some point.

Yup. Sure do recognize you Patrick! Sorry Mike, but all the pics on this computer are too large & I dont have any software to edit them. This is the computer here @ the Inn and my laptop is being fixed as we speak. The MAC & PC I gave to my old neighbor and friend (Bill Irwin from Teenage Love/Evil Twin) before I moved in out here @ the Inn... my new PC is almost in the works of being built...... I only use this computer @ work right now and dont want to install any software on it incase it fucks up or something....you know , the whole "You fucked it up by putting all that stuff on it" routine. I do have alot of pitures on here for other sites, but I think they are too big for an avatar or posting. Maybe ill try later!

Hey Patrick I remember you. I use to hang out with rapscallion battery and I did some of their promo work for them. I think you were at one or two parties Dax had at their house off of 17th street if memory serves me correct. SkinHead Scott is my brother you would remember me also hanging out with Dave McCormick down at Java's. I remember scott saving you a couple of times. Do you know how I can contact Howard? I miss him we also hung out alot. Hey someone you guys have forgotten who was an important icon in knoxville and who also had a featured article in the Knoxville News-Sentinel was Sam Bradford. I can't believe you guys forgot about Sam. I still have his pic from the article and some personal pics. I miss him too. Does anyone know what happened to him? Last I heard he was in England and was teaching at Oxford University. I would love to hear from him again. Me,Scott and Sam always had a pre going out for the night party. Some of sam's parties are legendary. Also does anyone remember the "great fireworks war" in the fort where a bunch of us attacked Brian from Mercury Theater? Hey Elf remember the powdered donut incident? Ah memories - all good!

I hadn't mentioned Sam because I didn't think he was on the scene until Mercury Theatre, and I thought most of the intent of this thread was to Pre-Date that.
I know no more of Sam's whereabouts than what you mentioned, except that he was in town a couple years ago, but was a little busted up from something... fight, crash, or something, and wasn't too mobile and was recuperating.

Pistol in the mouth in that sunken parking lot on the east side of Gay Street across from his place of employment.

Oh wow that was what happened to the count. Sorry I didn't place the name at the time that incident happened. Yea Sam hung out with Scott and I at Planet Earth but he just was not well known until Mercury. Scott dated a friend of his from Edinburgh. I wish I could remember her name but she was really pretty and really cool. I can say this if I could go back in time I would not change a thing. I loved hanging out with all of you guys and the memories are great. It's sad we have lost a lot of people from those times whether it's from distance or death. It's also nice to know that once Knoxville was a happening place..... man what happened to it? Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

The Count's name was Michael.
I'll reserve his last name, as he has a living brother among our extended scene.
He was referenced early in this thread.
He spoke to NO ONE.
I broke his ice by being a Huge Bowie fan.
That was the ONE thing he was Passionate about.
He had over 120 Bootlegs alone, on top of the Full Legit catalogue.
Many cool Videos too.
He gave me a few items when he retired "The Count" and started dating Sara.
He burned his wig and clothing and sold the rest of his Bowie catalogue to other enthusiasts.
I can only think of about 4 or 5 other people that he actually spoke to, and most of them pre-dated or were current w/ Planet Earth, and none of them go out these days except for maybe Brent Borrison.
He was quiet, w/ curly red hair.
He was asexual for the most part, but that changed when he fell for Sara.
He had grown up being teased as "gay", so he decided he Must be, even though he never really had any relationships that I'm aware of.
I'm not saying he never did anything,.. I'm only aware of any specifics after he got involved w/ Sara.
He drove a red Fiat Spyder and was an Accountant.
I told him he should have "Count" as a Double-entendre license plate, but he was too shy for that...
He was Shy to the Extreme, and "The Count" helped him escape that Superficially through his dancing, but he was extremely unhappy w/ himself out of character.
May he RIP.

I Suck with names and have Memory issues, but who was the Mercury DJ that we haven't yet named?
He was around before Mercury, and I can picture his face, but the name is escaping me, especially since he's moved away, IIRC.
He played for awhile prior to Arkady, and IIRC, worked w/ Sam when the night was called "Slut Hut".

Shit....some sort of celestial name. A planet? Constellation?
Wasn't Rachel involved with The Slut Hut? Or, was that "Club Pompeii"?
