Gothic Revival Picnic/Cookout

Post by Sinthia »

We are having a picnic/party/cookout at Concord Park June 18th, which is on a sunday. It is not often that all of us weirdos can get together and actually have conversations without having to shout over really loud music and just hang out and get to know each other. We have reserved shelter number six...which seats about 50 people but I suggest bringing blankets to sit on or chairs. This will be a potluck event...so bring what you can...show off that recipe for cantankerous coleslaw , satanic potato salad of beelzebub barbeque sauce. I am looking for volunteers to do the music and bring a portable cd player and some good music ...nothing too high tech needed. There are electrical outlets there...I am bringing a blender. Anyone who wants to be involved...or who needs more info...let me know.

Sounds like fun, and I hate that I wouldn't be able to make this one. Unfortunately, with it being Father's Day, I will be at home with my family in Maryville.

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it either. My energy level's just pretty well shot, for the moment.

What time slot did you reserve Shelter # 6??
From when to when?
I might be able to make it..especially later..

I have just a few interesting CD's but I'm sure there are plenty of people who can outclass my collection with their little finger.

As I'm living in 2 cities I just might bring some hummus and olive paste and chips for dipping.

For those not familiar with the park location here is the address you can google:

Concord Park
(865) 966-9410
10901 S Northshore Dr
Concord Farragut, TN 37922

Really looking forward to it.

Sounds great, but I got a man at home who needs to be celebrated that day for being a super step dad, so I probably won't make it. Have fun though!
