Cool TIE Fighter Desk/computer mod

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Yeah I need to put some thought and engineering into some mood lighting for the room. I hate fluorescent lights - the overheads are evil.

I'm always willing to accept "salvage" computer parts. I'll give you a call Ben.

My next purchase will be a video card. If you have something comparable to an nvidia 6200 8X AGP, that's about what I'm looking for.

My price range is $70-$90 and these are the ones I’m looking at:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... ideo+Cards

These aren’t really up to par… I’d like one with 256-bit DDR addressing.

None have the case cover on, some front panels are missing and you won't find any of those stupid neon lights, LED lit fans, sparkling cables or other useless nonsense. How it looks means nothing compared to how it performs, and you're just wasting your money on fancy cases and other useless crap like that.

But my Macs come with pretty cases. And they're VERY well laid out inside, too.

And I'll agree with Ibbie on the "only three?" part. Yeah, I've only got three on my main desk, but that doesn't count the racks, or whatever I've got on the bench.

I do wish it were a bit quieter in here, though. The racks and aux airconditioner make it a bit loud.

There are four computers here in constant use, another dozen I manage in the office upstairs and usually at least two more in some state of being built or repaired.
