Hello

I've recently been checking this out as an alternative to the metroblab were I usualy go to keep up with knoxville.

I noticed the exchange right away and posted some paintings I sell on ebay. I apologize if I have overstepped my bounds as I should have at least introduced myself first.

I consider myself a native of east TN especially Knoxville, but I feel at home throughout the region, as that is were my family resides. The Cardwell's and the Burkes.

I spent the first thirty five years of my life in knoxville and have been away for 3 years now, and will soon be moving to Boston, for awhile. Me and my better half will be coming back in 5 - 10 years unless things keep getting more uptight then we will hed to canada lol.

East tennesse is were my family is at my grandma lives up near the cumberland gap and I miss her dearly, but life is short and my travels aren't done as of yet. I never wanted to be a traveler, I always thought that I would stay in knoxville until I died, hopefully I will make it back to live somewhere on the French Broad river before I die.

My ktown resume is not all that impressive but here it is:

Worked with a group called Chroma on 100s of group shows

Helped to paint a few murals:
the Giza pyramids at the old Fiction
The train mural in the old city
Organized Graffitii painters to paint the interior of Gryphons

Played in a few mediocre bands:
Futile
My Beatiful Ex Wife
Cryptic Faith

Did some performance art with the LAB group called the privacy show or something like that

Anways I think the site is just great and will continue to post, hope no one minds

so howdoo

Nice to meet you as well Stormstress

Hello Junkie Christ

it all ends in tears...

Your name reminds me of the band teenage Jesus and the Jerks, an early Lydia Lunch project.

Howdoo JaNell

I would love a knoxville based art forum to chat in, there seems to be a good many forums already here. Hmmm I'm curious if the idea could coexist with one of the other forums.

The craft one does seem to be used good bit so it might be distracting to be discussing art in there, I'll give it a shot and post a discussion see if it takes off or falls.

Knoxville is a great town for inspiration but it can be difficult to put together shows in Ktown, I suggest showing art in Asheville.

No problem scarecrow I aprecciate the heads up realy helped out.

Yes, I have wished you were dead. You are just another face in the crowd, someone who brings me suffering, someone I truely hate.
