Conquerer of flesh
Oh, deceptive light
The golden fantasy always fades to grey
Born from rash judgement
We believe in such fairytales
And though we cannot grasp it
nor push it away
the aspiration leads us blindly down a path of our own discontent
Once again the sweet gift has been twisted into a dark, starving creature bent on devouring the soul
We fear it
and desire it
Pray, only with our last breath the age old conflict will end
Self destruction
