9-11 Makes Me Sad.
9-11 Makes Me Sad.
It marks the beginning of the end of civil liberty and freedom in America.
And the official beginning of "Rome, Part Two - Roamin' in America", which is a godawful sequel to the original, much like Short Circuit 2 or Mannequin 2: On the Move or, of course, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I mean, come on, the original Breakin' was a stirring tale of rebellion in the face of a Reagenite society!

I feel dirty & need to confess my sins...
Today at work we solicited folks to buy a book about the freedoms of the United States in commemoration of 9-11, when really the book was a propaganda piece about George W's "heroic handling" of the crisis.
Maybe I wouldn't feel so bad if it were truly a book honoring the victims & their families, but it's so political. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
The worst/best part (depending on your point of view) was that we sold the hell out of it. Of course we had some contacts get extremely offended, but overall people bought it... hook, line, & sinker.
I wonder if I did any karmic damage today?

It was thereafter that I decided to go blue.
Are sure that wasn't a fairy whispering in your ear....
This is not entirely impossible since my early attempts all came out to be green.
But who would quake in fear at the dread pirate GREENBEARD!
Actually, though, what I refer to was the desire to do such a thing had been present for quite a while. Nothing like an earthshaking catastophy to get you to stop putting things off till "Later".
There might not be a later....after all.
Q: What do pirates from India call their flag?
A: The Jolly Raja

The Crow wasn't that bad. The sequel to it was a million times worse.
I mean, if you look at the Crow as a comic-book-ish dark action flick, it's decent. Sure, if you think it was trying to be "gothic", it looks silly, but I honestly don't see how it was supposed to be any more of a goth movie than, say, Dark City.
What I'm saying I suppose is that a dark mood doesn't mean something is trying to be Goth. By that criteria, hell, Darkman could be seen as a very bad goth movie. But it's not. It's a pretty good silly comic-book-action flick with humor.

I quoted this just b'cauz I thought it warranted repeating... not that I don't waste plenty o' time on my own "freedoms", but it'z not like George W. or th' Pentagon hav been callin' me up 4 Nat'l security tipz or even sweeper teamz lately either.

BTW, nice touch with th' "beautifully" ... I like that

"94.3 on the radio all night at work on 9/11, and fucked up as it may be, I've never heard so much Rage Against the Machine played in the same day on that station..."
94.3 sucks anyway, I hate that station. I mean if I hear that headstrong will take on anyone again I might just puke.Bad thing is that I listen to it at least once daily.
