This is good. I took it from the Metro Pulse's News of the Weird.
Hurricane Isabel roared through Virginia Beach, Va., in September, inflicting serious property damage, despite public calls for prayer to keep it away by prominent resident Rev. Pat Robertson, whose Christian Broadcasting Network is headquartered there. (In 1998, Robertson condemned the city of Orlando, Fla., for sponsoring a Gay Days festival, and warned that the city could be torn up during the subsequent hurricane season, as God punishes those who promote homosexuality. Instead, the first hurricane of that season (Bonnie) made a direct hit on Virginia Beach.)
Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
You know, Ill just say it.......I'm christian and I STILL dont understand why people act like that! I mean its turds like that that make me look bad.....Its humiliating to the rest of us, If he was truely in it to be the voice of a generation and god....he wouldnt condemn anyone. Exactly! *Christian also* I don't behave like that. People like that need to look a bit harder at the "thou shalt not judge" line.

Read the first few pages of the Book of Acts if you don't believe me. They spell it out quite literally.
To sum up if you're too lazy to look it up or you don't own a Bible:
"After Jesus died, the Disciples formed a commune where everyone sold everything they owned and gave all the money to the disciples. The disciples then gave that money to whoever among them needed it, according to their needs."

Yeah! Commies for Christ, unite!

After living in New York all my life I just can't get over this "Bible Belt" crap. I have noticed that as soon as people in this area (generally speaking) know about your belief system, spirituality or lack there of, they automatically write you off as being evil or "not saved". Honestly, it is bullshit and I am fed up with people treating others poorly because they may not fit into the "ideal christian" or any religion for that matter. Trying not to judge others is what so many of us push for, yet we do it ourselves, and I am sure I do the same. However, I do not make it a point to make another persons life a living hell because they may not agree with me.
So now...when I encounter someone like this, I smile. When I am treated like a disease because what I may believe in, I laugh and wish them well. In the case of any kind of enemy, I treat them with respect and ignore it. In the end, it was never really between myself and "them" anyway, it is between myself and God, or the "Universe" or whatever fancy name people can come up with.
I'm not a religious man, so correct me if I am wrong. Didn't new testament essentially negate old testament? Aren't most of the hateful, hypocritical, judgemental, asshole christians using old testament to justify their actions?

Yeah, basically. Plus the old Testament is so full of inconsistencies and other stuff that just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I asked my stepfather the other day where Caine's wife came from. He thinks Caine went and mated with a gorilla. Dumbass. Plus, if God really flooded the earth, how did animals end up on Australia? I don't see Noah sailing over and dropping some off before parking the boat on Mt. Ararat or wherever he parked it. Plus, if someone's a "Christian", they should only be reading the first four books of the new Testament. The old one is for the Jewish faith.
