i have read what you said

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

i have read what you said

Post by tat2jay »

thank you kitty, some of the kindest words i have read in a long time.
i read the thread about catching the man.
i am ill. some of the things said there made me sick. i really dont even know what i expected to say in a post here. i think i just wanted people to know how i felt. i should be home this spring sometime. and ill be honest, i dont think i want to talk about this time in my life with most of you. if you want to hear about the good things that are going on over here just ask me. but if you want to tell me i am a sheep, or that we are killing people over here, you have opened up a can of debate that you will not be able to supprt. i have an idea. lets all take turns visiting iraq and talking to the locals
i have an extra cot in my room, i have plenty of MREs and fresh water. ill drive you around myself, anywhere you want to go, anytowm, we can take our translator , you can talk to anyone and let them give you a feel for whats going on here.

damnit. its all coming back to me, why did i forget the reasons i dont read the boards anymore? i guess bordem does a lot of strange things to you.

i hope to see a few of you soon.

It embarrasses me so that you are where you are, doing what you are doing, and you look around back home and find some of these sorry excuses for humans. They have no shame, but I am ashamed to share the planet with them.

I haven't been reading boards much either lately...so I have ignored much of it...such as bored teens in the suburbs....but some of it gets personal.

I disagree with a lot of political :horsecock: and won't get into it, because discussing it with friends is not a good idea...but I support you 100 percent.

But, I know I am someone you look forward to seeing, and I pity those who don't have you in their hearts.

Oh Jay, don't let it get to you. After all, it's just some angsty spoiled little white boy talking out his ass. Ignore it and it'll go away. Those vermin thrive on attention.

*hugs* to you Jay, and take care over there, OK? ;)

Jay,
I can't express how I feel without being repetitive... you know that I love you so much and I am proud of you, for everything you do and for the person you are. You've helped me become who I am right now and I think very highly of you. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for being a soldier, father, husband, a blessing. I can't wait to have you back home.

I would rather die then serve. If there was a draft I would flee to Canada and if I got caught anyway I'd serve jail time (which is really disgusting). It's much like serving a deity with strange beliefs.

I'm glad everyone got so up in arms about what I've had to say.

This world needs change and war is not change. You cannot further mankind by destroying it. You shouldn't be there, man. You should be home celebrating whatever holiday with your family. There's no reason you shouldn't.

Do any of you ever actually get the music your listening to?

How many of you watch programs on Comedy Central?

By the way: I just realized where the lot of you people live.

You're not a hero.

Logic(well the jury is still out on that).I read your post about not serving and how what is being done is not right. Now I have personally not met you.Nor at the moment do i care to.
But,one thing you should understand. If not for the members of our military.Who you so condem. You would not have the freedom to say the things that you have said on this board.Or perhaps even be able to chose things for yourself. So instead of condemming them. You should thank them.
Serving one's country is a choice. When people make this choice they are aware there are sacrifes to be made.I'm sure all the soliders overseas would much rather be home with family and loved ones. They made a choice to serve their country. So that they may protect their family and loved ones(and yourself i may add). They do so knowing the sacrife may iinculed thier own life.
I personally do not believe violence is always an answer. But,sometimes it must be used.In this case to help out fellow human beings in suffer of a tyrant. It was used and from what I've seen the people of that country are thankful.Because, now they have freedom to make thier own choices.Something that they did not have as easily before.
So,for the soilders serving here and abroad. And those who have come before. And those who have lost thier llives. To preserve our way of life.Including a personal friend of mine.Gone, but, never forgotten.I SALUTE THEM ALL!!!
And to you Logic.........I give a finger*guess which one*

logic, some things i would like for you to read - i do not ask that you agree with them, i do not ask that you change your mind and think the way i think. i just ask that you read through them objectivly and try to understand where i am coming from. part of communication is an open path of give and take. if you would like, you can email me your personal thoughts on why you feel the way you do. i would just like for you to try to understand where i am coming from

The Soldiers Code

IV. NO MATTER WHAT SITUATION I AM IN, I WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR PLEASURE, PROFIT, OR PERSONAL SAFETY WHICH WILL DISGRACE MY UNIFORM, MY UNIT, OR MY COUNTRY.

V. LASTLY, I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY AND IT?S FLAG. I WANT TO LOOK BACK AND SAY THAT I AM PROUD TO HAVE SERVED MY COUNTRY AS A SOLDIER.

___________________________________________________

Jay, I know I don't know you personally (yet), but I feel bad that you even had to see any of this.
I think Logic is just trying to get a rise out of alot of people but he has picked the wrong subject and the wrong people.
When you do come back I would like to meet you and give you a big hug. (If you don't mind.) :sadhug:
And I do agree that this MFer should be banned.
