Intelligent parrot

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Intelligent parrot

THis is really cool.

The finding of a parrot with an almost unparalleled power to communicate with people has brought scientists up short.
The bird, a captive African grey called N'kisi, has a vocabulary of 950 words, and shows signs of a sense of humour.

He invents his own words and phrases if he is confronted with novel ideas with which his existing repertoire cannot cope - just as a human child would do.

N'kisi's remarkable abilities, which are said to include telepathy, feature in the latest BBC Wildlife Magazine.

Cool. African Greys are prone to squack a lot, but this one seems to be much more intelligent than your run of the mill Greys.

I love birds. Too bad I'm allergic to them all. They are very intelligent, though. As are lots of other animals. The bird simply happens to be better at verbalizing than a cat or a dog or what have you.
