The girl who sleeps on splinters
Takes sleeping pills to stay awake
drifts sweeping through the mind fields
Her mother ocean's swell yields
throwing souls upon the tidal break
as storms pierce inside eternal winters
She is a fractured girl, who
climbs upon the shores each night
Filled with fever, grinning, crying
Searching for her lover lying
cold in clouds? Obscured from sight
lingering, laughing in the deepest blue
The girl who sleeps on splinters
always, wide awake and dreaming
Her world in constant shift and spin
Her words are brittle frail and thin
still can you hear the ragged screaming
as storms piercing icy internal winters
She is a deadly girl who,
fights the battle of the waning moon
consumed with rage and disguised fear
Praying she'll find her lover near
and all of this will be over soon
as they linger, laughing in the deepest blue.
