FCC VS. KFAR! SAVE KFAR!

Forward this far and wide! Post to every listserve you
can think of--esp in Knoxville. SAVE KFAR 90.9 from
the evil empire!

Today the FCC came to Knoxville First Amendment Radio
KFAR 90.9 and left a nastigram threatening to shut us
down. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

First--please be polite when you call/email/write. But
your one call can make a world of difference. Tell the
FCC that KFAR is providing an valuable community
service and to leave your community radio station
alone!

We exceed all FCC specifications

Our signal is clear and clean and does not bleed or
echo. We are the only source for community news/music
and information. The only reason we have not gotton a
license is we can't because congress passed a
regulation despite the FCC's arguments that low watt
stations like ours should be allowed to be licensed.

Please be polite but speak from the heart. We need to
show these people that KFAR is a well loved community
resource. Call/email/post to websites--save KFAR. We
are also seeking cash for legal defense. We have a
legal argument that we should be allowed to broadcast
and want to take them to court over this. But please
call/email/write--only you can save the peoples radio
station!

sounds to me like the fight against pirate radio is still going........
