sanctus

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

sanctus

Post by kostya »

just looking through your march playlists, i saw some stuff i would actually like to listen to, and then some stuff i would rather shove my head in stove than listen to.

however, have you guys ever thought of holding something a bit more... age friendly... at a different location?

no doubt about, not being able to go, basically anywhere, is kind of bad. so i just thought to might consider a request of the sorts.

Well, most with a lower age, requires more liablity. And honestly, I don't think that the Admn wants to babysit twelve year olds. Plus there would a be a big thing with underage kids, and drinking, it could get difficult. However, there is kareoke, and 11th street. Both of which are underage friendly places.

Or you could just get a fake ID like so many others in the past have done, or simply sneak in.

i dont think ye'll be baby sitting any twelve year olds. do you know about our society today? twelve year olds would never go to something of the sort. they too busy listening to whatever the music industry is trying to shove down their throats. as for the drinking, i know twelve year olds who more than likely drink more than you. and for the fake id... you tell me where to get it, and i will.

Ok guys lets think about what you are saying here. Fake IDs are

#1 illegal and
#2 have the ability to bring down the whole shooting match if a under aged person were to have an accident after drinking at our night.

If I catch or hear of a fake ID being used on a night that I am promoting the person that is caught with it will be heald for the cops to deal with.

It's not that I don't feel your pain. I really do. Things were the exact same when I was 16. It sucks being underage around here. Theres nothing to do.

The problem is though for every 10 of you younger folks out there that want to just have a good time there is at least 1 person that wants to start some kind of bull shit high school problem like breaking property or tagging bathroom walls or some crap. It's a shame but its true.

The other issue is that because you can't drink, the venues really have no way to make enough money to hire enough staff to watch over everything, pay the performers, and still make a little for the club.

Now, if someone can come up with a safe alternative that overcomes all this I am all ears. Also, Bone and I will be spinning tunes off and on at 11th St on fridays when the weather gets warmer so you could come there. It's not Sanctus but it is a good way to meet some of the other KG folk.

Shit damn. I also say people need to be kicked in the teeth, but I don't see anyone hopping to do so.

Then again, if I can inspire a little Caustic Militia, I'll be right pleased with myself.

That's a VERY generalised statement. You OBVIOUSLY didn't know me when I was 12. Maybe that's because I was 15 when you were born....*me wanders off muttering about getting a farkin' wheelchair soon*

Anyway, not all pre-teen types enjoy pop. :)

My little sister is twelve and I KNOW how that little one is. Also, a lot of older people aren't always up for going out to clubs, when they know that their will be people under 18 there. Actually, a lot of clubs are 21 and up, because of that same reason. This says nothing toward Vader or any of the KG admn, but YOU CAN'T make enough money off of the door. I really wish you could. I just turned 18 not to long ago, and before I was 18 the only places I could go with KG, was the Panda (which was fun, I love to listen to kareoke), and 11th Street ( which I still go to for good conversation, and great tea.) All I'm saying is that I agree with Arkady. Yes, it sucks ass that you aren't 18, and it sucks more because East Tennessee isn't exaclty the best place if you are "alternative" to the "mainstream." When I lived in Daytona, I had tons of shit to do, but they make most of their money on people 13-24, so yea. Sorry, you're young. you could always blame your parents for not having you earlier.

you are so right, karlaboo. even those that are much younger enough good music. two little girls, aged 5 and 7, quite enjoy the music and the fashion. when i was in middle school (1988-1990), i listened to the cure, soiuxsie, bauhaus, etc. you know, the old standards. as did my friends. might want to educate yourself before making such blanket statements.
