Pounding rain drops
Falling to the ground
Drowning the world
In irrepital saddness.

Clouds force out the sun
The only beaming light
That holds the key to happiness
In this person's life.

And I just want to feel
Just want to push the clouds out of my way
Open my windows
And feel the freedom of the breeze come in.

I want to be able to see the world
For all of the splendor that it can be
I want to hold on to love
And feel that joy inside of me.

And I want to break free of my chains
Hold my head up when I walk down the street
And there is not a soul who knows my name
And yet still know that I matter here.

The rain still pours down
Covers the world in its questions
In its frowns
And hides away the smiles of the sun.

Oh how I long for the light to come
Wash over me
And bring me back into feeling
Into existing in some sort of reality.

I long for happiness
Pure and simple
And for a friend
To whom I can wait out this saddness with.
