Killing Bill
Killing Bill
So, this Friday, Uma Thurman will FINALLY get to Kill Bill. I plan on catching this Friday, hopefully at something like a 4:20 show (must get cheapo matinee ticket). Should be a kick!

Battle Royale? Order that shit online! Seriously, Ebay has been my best source for asian dvds. With shipping, most are around 15.00, video quality has always been good, and I've had good luck with getting movies that are well subtitled. Usually the animated films are subtitled the worst.
I like Chisa in Battle Royale because I really liked the girl she played. She put a lot into that role to make the audience sympathized with her so much. In Kill Bill, she was just a bad ass.

I thought the movie was great, though it was odd that there were more people in the one showing of the movie I was in then went to see the original in all of Knoxville
. This one felt more like a terintino flick (even though the action is quited down a lot it oddly enough actually feels more like one of those Saturday Afternoon movies) I also think Caradine was the better choice since he has a history with the old Kung- Fu, Baetty (sp) just wouldn't have had that conection. There are Three sets of credits and there is a thing at the end, but not really sure its worth sitting through the third set of credits to see it.
I vote "worth seeing".
There was also a trailer for Hero a actual Martial arts film with the same plot as KB but done chinese style and with LOTR type special effects!!

I'll second the recommendation for Hero. Very enjoyable flick, sort of decieving trailer. Still, check it out if CTHD appealled to you at all. If those effects (gravity defying leaps/floating/flying) were not for you, Hero is more of the same. I thought the action and story of Hero were fantastic and it looks just beautiful. For more brutal "Kill Bill" style action, the Japanese flicks Gojoe and Azumi should suffice.
Jester, thanks for the link! I find most of what I am looking for on ebay, but this could prove to be another great source of good movies.
