I'm gonna try to go after I get my bills paid. If any of my friend wanna carpool, lemme know.
I'll have to be careful not to do what my ex husband did in the early 90's. He drove to ATL to see Skinny Puppy and left his and his friend's tickets on his dresser and had to sit outside and listen to them...lol. Idiot!!

A Friday huh? This is a good possibility. Might be too much of a crowd for this one though. That was one problem about seeing Bauhaus in Atlanta. I spent most of that show in the bar...Still, I can think of worse ways to spend a Friday than killing expensive drinks and listening to live SP!

I have my ticket and will definately be there. I for one really like the new album and look forward to their live show. I will probably drive down on Thursday so I can hang out in Atlanta earlier in the day. Anyone interested in tagging along should contact me.

This is prolly a stoopid question, but...
I lost my visa check card I use to buy things online such as concert tickets, etc. I had in\t cancelled and a new one is en route.
I am wondering if i can go to a Knoxville ticketmaster location, such as Cats (or is there one in West Town?) and buy my ticket for the Atlanta show??

I'm not sure but maybe you could find out on the ticketmaster website or call the ticketmaster location. I would recommend doing it as quickly as possible though, because I keep hearing that skinny puppy shows are already sold out.
note: I'd love to hear what everyone thinks of the new album. I started a topic about it in music and bands so please reply

Hey Buttercup try the following list to find a ticketmater reseller near you.
http://www.ticketmaster.com/h/tcenters/tn.html
Fortunately according to this link the Atlanta show is not sold out yet. However all of the other Tweaker Shows are so hurry.

Oh, a week or so ago I tried to get a ticket and it said "none available".
It sucks because I already got approval from my manager to get reimbursed for the show...
If anyone has an extra ticket let me know please, because I sorta doubt their will be scalpers...

...
just came back from seeing them in Chicago - see them if you can!!!
I cannot express how pleased I am to have gotten to see them. The show was spectacular. Of the opening acts, I liked Otto Von Schirach the most. He is definitely the best one-man show I have seen in quite a while. Just a guy with a laptop and an fx processor, lots of noizy glitch-hop. The dude is just whacked out. Just out of nowhere, he would let out a piercing scream that would render the audience helpless like deer in headlights.
I must get some of his stuff, and I would recommend it although only listen to it in small doses.
Pretty much everyone I talked to thought Tweaker sucked. I think they were eh.. a little to emo for this crowd. Decent background music, but I don't quite think they fit opening for SP.
When Ohgr finally took the stage, everything changed. They had a video collage running in the background which had a lot of CG and very precisely edited video footage of the war and Bush. I would love to have a copy of it, but unless you "know" somebody, it's probably unattainable. Ohgr interacted with the screen throughout the show. He came out wearing a sort of jester suit with a beak which reminded me of pictures I have seen of the people who would collect the dead in the streets during the black plague. The suit was white and drenched in blood. He played the newer stuff first, but when he got to the older stuff, I heard everything I wanted to hear..... Warlocked.... Smothered Hope...
He tore the suit off and sprayed himself, the stage and the audience in blood.
For the encore, the stage lights went down and he came back out wearing a suit with strings of light. Heh, the ones we had seen at the "glow-in-the dark store" the day before in Little 5.
They played a couple of older songs as well as new stuff.
Adam had drawn a picture and framed it to give to Ohgr. We tried to get back stage to give it to him, but ended up giving it to his assistant, who promised to get it to him. Adam's work is in much need of recognition. Maybe we'll be seeing some of his stuff on Ohgr's next solo album... would me groovy.
I met cEvin Key briefly in purgatory after the show, just long enough to shake his hand and say "hi".
All in all, one of the best shows I have ever seen.

.
Adam is prolly my favorite local artist...he's amazing and a really fucking cool person too. He also makes a mean soy chai.
Sucks that I missed it, but I have a feeling I'll get another opportunity to see them
