We had a good time seeing everyone again. Had to cut out kinda early, though. I must say, going to work on 2 hours of sleep is a major bitch!!
BTW, Junkie, sorry your drink got spilled! :-( (Although, that could have been a sign!)

I had a good time till the bouncers thought they were badass cus there were 3 of them, and one of me.

The actual getting thrown out part, for being involved with something that showcases my talent, for people who WANT my talent....ah that was just fun/worth it......

The year in review

Post by Scorptrio »

When we journey through the layers we bring with us that which clings as we pass through. The effects we leave behind are often purposeful interference shaped by our choices. What a difference in perception just one year makes. Consider how great the misperception when frivolity is mistaken for genuity; how impression becomes opinion and opinion is substituted for fact. Now turn around and consider the real impact we all have on one another through our actions. Affinity leads to association and by way of relation yields connection, often dependence and what is fated to be consanguinity or destined to be alliance. One may see the drop enter the ocean while another sees the ocean enter the drop; bringing the larger, outside world inside cannot help but be an extreme, expansive ordeal. Whether rapid growth or violent detonation results is dependent on the ability to balance the forces and forms and release that which cannot be balanced. Development is the difference between nothing fading away and every day fading away. The choices are yours to make; what's important is understanding those choices. What marvelous diversity and creativity that composes a scene so splendid and phenomenal! What critical consequences result from that chaotic interplay! A glass is raised, a hand is extended, a grasp exchanged, words spoken and the indelible record is written on the indestructible page of time. And so one cycle ends and another begins. Going over the same ground again with new perceptions is often more valuable than striking out over new ground. Here's to many more years of valuable experiences with KG. Long live Sanctus!

Hi Greta, I'm really glad you were able to make it last night... I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to talk to you more before you left though :)

My first in 4 or 5 months. Thanks for making it a good one! I don't think I've had that much fun in a while, I even got drunk enough to learn to ski on pavement. LOL! :P maybe it's time to retire those boots, huh?

I thought the vibe was a bit weird myself. I still had a good time though. I really appreciate all of you that are supporting Sanctus and KnoxGothic. Thanks to you we are continuing to grow. It is a point of fact that we currently have the most attended gothish night in Knoxville's history.

I have been recently thinking about the mix of ingredients that makes Sanctus the success that it is and I have come to believe that the real attraction, the real beauty of Sanctus is its clientele. You the community, make Sanctus what it is. You have all stuck with us through our mistakes and triumphs and for that, I thank you. If you'll keep coming, I'll keep doing my part to make sure that it happens.

Thank you all!

Wish we hadnt had to cut out so early....we left just when it was gettin really good. It was kind of a weird vibe....but in my case i'll chalk it up to tiredness and sobriety. :-? We had a great time as always!

Ummm...with four planets in Cancer there is a high chance of racing emotions and melodrama to flood a small or even large country. LOL...that is why I live in a different state! And that along with the goth night in general = "strange vibes"... This month and July especially will be very emotional...according to the planets.

A good friend called me last night after Sanctus and I was able to get a play-by-play of events. Sounds like you all had fun:) I was busy working and working on music

Hopefully a Sanctus in the future I will be able to attend when I come to visit my family, friends, and my horses that are STILL in TN. Take care all and cheers to another Sanctus.

I remember when it first started when I moved to Knoxville, almost 3 years ago! It has grown so much! I still have the video tape of the first Sanctus...complete with Bone dancing, everyone in Halloween costumes and of course, the Fairbanks:( I miss that place....
Take care...

I had a pretty good time. It was nice to see sooo many new people...I just wish I had met more of them.

I'm not sure about the new decor...its kinda scary. And not *good* scary.

And I will continue to support Sanctus and KG as long as it continues to support growth in the "scene". What we have done with Nashville and Asheville's groups is great...and it seems things should only get bigger and better.

I have been supporting this night for, what, over two years now, almost 3? I have promoted KG to many groups in many places..given out cards, posted links to KG events, etc, etc...

And because the storm is brewing anyways, I might as well address the issue myself. Jon and Jason, I consider you all dear friends, thats why I feel we can discuss this as adults. Perhaps it is a Bluecats policy
what happened to X. If so, there's not much that can be done about it, I guess. But you'd think that you'd back up someone who has supported your nights so well, especially since he was promoting an event on a completely different night as Sanctus, just hoping that others in the group might enjoy something more than once a month...*shrug* Doesn't seem like such a horrible thing to me, but then again, what do I know....I'm no business expert.

I just thought you should know what others online are discussing and give my pals a chance to defend themselves...because I have spent time with both of you and love you dearly and don't want this to effect the success of your events. I know business and friendship are two totally different things...but...I just don't want people saying things about you guys if they are completely unfounded...

my two cents on what happened to X is this:
A)another goth event would help ADD MORE to the scene, thus getting more money for sanctus... so one of the listed reasons for X being booted is bullshit
B)ive picked up flyers and stickers for events that had shit to do with BlueCats before during sanctus (including quite a few t5c and nashville flyers.... is there a distance factor or some shit to the flyers.) and noone complained then............
C)how would it detract from BlueCats business when the crowd at sanctus is probably not going to be at BlueCats the night of the end anyway................

so if it BlueCats that voted him out of the building, thats unprofessional as hell. Really.

this type of behavior is dumb considering how many KG moguls are involved in The End, its shooting yourself in the foot and trying to divide people and start a war.

we, for one, are glad there is another night to attend. we can't attend sunday night events, usually since jeffry has to be at work fairly early mondays, especially after school starts back. with us, its not who is promoting or sponsoring a certain event, its more WHEN it happens.

i know some people go to sanctus, and go to work the following morning, but we aren't those people. we just cant function on 3-4 hours of sleep.
