to ge the the hello's going what sort of music do you like? I noticed the Slipknot in the background so I guess that's one down. Never cared much for their songs but do apreciate the creativity they take in their presence and stage performance.

I was also largely unnoticed at said event, but you must admit it was entertaining. Maybe we should organize a "meet the rookies" night to introduce ourselves?

It wasn't really me gettin past you. It was you looking over me. lol I was the guy sitting all alone at the center table out side against the wall. I was not that dressed up either. But thank your for the welcome.

Have you posted in the "I'm new here" section of the forum yet?
A good place to start making introductions is often the 11th street coffee house. We gather there on Friday nights, congregating mostly on the front porch for smoking & socializing, but spilling over inside to avoid the mosquitos & out back for fencing. Come see us there this week if you're free.
I sat in the corner by myself at first too. It's always advisable to lurk for a brief period before jumping in to fun, in my opinion. Eventually I started walking around & saying hello to folks, though, & thankfully discovered how really friendly everyone was. I hope to see you out again soon, but to be honest, I frequently take my specs off when at a bar & can't see any one more than a few feet away, so don't wait for me to come over to you. I'm not being rude, I just can't see you!

Don't be shy...we don't bite (well...some of us do...but its not us trying to be mean or anything)
I hope you can make it to the coffee thing Friday...it will be my first time going as well and it seems like a lot of fun.

I don't know. I am really shy and I don't talk to people that I don't know unless it's on line. I will try to make it. One more thing how will i know that you people look like? Just walk up to everyone and ask? lol

I'm probably one of the shortest females in attendance, other than Bear & Suzanne, I think. I'm round & my gray is showing & I spend most of my time on the dance floor. I wore a knee length skirt & combat boots last night, so you could see the tats on my legs... Mercury symbol on my right leg, aquarius on my left.
I'll try to find a pic in the archives I don't hate & post it.
