So I had to fix dinner the other night and didn't have much to choose from, so here's what I did:
Whatever fresh veggies you have...steam them. Great and good for you.
Boil 3 cups of mac noodles. When their cooked the way you like them, drain the water, throw in 2 tblsp butter, 1 tblsp mayo, 1 tsp fresh garlic or 1 tblsp powdered garlic, and pepper to tasted. Stir it all up and fix a plate.
I just eyeballed the pasta ingredients the other night, so you may have to tweek it a little, but it turned out really well and would be great with garlic bread. The sauce also goes well in mashed potatoes. Enjoy

Sounds good! I love vegetables.
It sounds like it would be good with grilled chicken.

ok
Chicken & birds aren't real meat by his standards. He likes it red & preferably in the form of a steak!
So throw a steak on and serve the sauce on mashed potatoes. I'm sure he'd enjoy the slight change in flavor.
Oh and to flavor the steak, for something a little different...marinate it for 30 minutes in a can of coke. No longer than that though, cause the coke will start cooking the meat.
