For some strange reason I thought that a Samhain gathering would be on Samhain, but the hosts wanted to leave Oct. 31 free for everyone to do there own thing and still enjoy a Gathering during the month. The Highlands of TN Samhain Gathering (HTSG) is THIS weekend Thursday Oct. 14th thru Monday Oct. 18th in the Cosby area of Sevier Co.
Please disregard the Oct. 31 posting for this event on the calendar. If one of the KGB see this post, please remove the event from the calendar.
There are many happenings spread through the weekend, and I'm in the process of getting a full schedule of events, so those who want to visit without committing to a full weekend will be welcome. Contact me for directions. This is at a pagan community in the back woods, so come prepared for bugs, mud, porta-john, etc. Camping gear for overnighters, change of clothes, box lunch are all recommended. There will be food vendors and other vendors as well.
Drumming, music, ceremony, workshops, meals, bonfire, dancing, discussions and games.... fun fun fun.
Also because of HTSG this weekend I will be going to 11th St. tonight (Thursday) and not Friday as usual. Anyone who wants to stop by for some laid-back conversation, that would be cool and Urban is in the plan as well ($2 pints.) I'll miss most of you Fri. night but don't worry… I'll be back.

nice
Great time tonight. Outstanding conversation with JaNell and Sati at 11th St. with many good thoughts and wishes sent to Lady Ivanna and her daughter. Urban afterwards was a blast! Iggy was playing trumpet in the live band and I've seen two of the other musicians at the art exhibit and after party a few months ago. One of them is Armenian like me and played a traditional Armenian string instrument called an Oud, leading to "Armenia Represent!" and "Armenia in the HOUSE!" lol <secret Armenian handshake... it's all about the nose, baby!>
And who knew a Thursday could be so much fun?
