Rafter's now is having Gothic/Industrial/Fetish night on Sundays, for those who don't already know (I'm still pleasantly shocked that we have this in JC) .
There weren't a whole lot of people there, first off. Only about 15 total. But that was alright, b/c I met almost everyone there.
Music was good (not fantastic) - could have been a little better - but the DJ said he'd play what we want if we just tell him. I'm making a long list for him next week. I made a short one for him tonight when I was there. I have to have stuff I can dance to or I don't have fun. So I requested a lot of Siouxsie and the Banshees, nine inch nails, and Nitzer Ebb.
The best thing about it for me was dancing with poles (I really like doing this) and especially dancing on the bar counter with a large wooden pole.
The worst thing about it was the price of drinks at Rafter's. 3 fucking 50 for a Citrona! You can buy a six pack at the store for $4.99. That's just a rip-off.
But anyway if you are in JC, I recommend going to Goth/Industrial/Fetish night, but I also recommend doing like I'm going to do next week and get really drunk in the parking lot. It's so much cheaper.
I didn't get much of a look at him that one night. Is he kinda ugly, extremely short hair, and sort of goofy looking?
