A Reunion of Sorts
A few years ago there was an event in Knoxville that ruled the 2nd Sunday of every month. An event that shook Knoxville to its very core. This event once saw a goth a pimp and a hip hop kid preform a David Allen Coe song. This event was called skaroke now its not coming back cause you can never go back to the old days. But this Sunday at between the buns there will be what I call "A Skaroke Reunion of Stars".I hope all the regulars from back at Iveys show up and Kevin from the giant panda days is running the show and has a new karoke book the likes which has never ever been seen. With songs from such acts as Motorhead,Slayer,They Might be Giants and Iron Maiden. (and Bone if you read this Kevin now has 3 verisons of "War Pigs)any way hope to see you all out this sunday if your not tired from temple the night before.
pretty by nature evil by design
i have never been to a karaoke event in knoxville and i pray that there is a god so that i may pray that i never have to.
Making a HONDA fast is like coming out of the closet, yeah you might suprise a few people; but in the end.. your still gay.

Re: A Reunion of Sorts
I am going to try and be there. Its been a while since I've been to one of Kevin's nights.
OMG, I still have the picture from that one. Too bad I don't have it online, or I would post it. I think that was also the night of the "Pimpin' George" picture.

I'm definitely going to head out there tonight. It should be entertaining.
I would have to say weirdest and most entertaining. Some of the more entertaining moments I remember.
the kids singing "Baby Got Back" (like father, like children)
one person humping the ground while singing "Darling Nikki"
the above mentioned David Allen Coe performance which followed the "Just a Pimp Ya Know" performance
a rendition of a Prince song by a duo where one person had to sit on the stage while the other was hanging onto the ceiling beam to remain standing
"Louis Armstrong" making a personal appearance (or at least it sounded like it) to sing "What a Wonderful World"
anytime Judas sings "A Thing Called Love"
the performance of Sweet Transvestite
the performance of "Ice Ice Baby" that was going so well (insert laughter here) until the singer realized the word "bacon" was in the song
She then got so cracked up that she couldn't sing it anymore.
And last but not least:
the new version of "I Will Always Love You" called "I Will Always Hate You"

Mapquest is coming up with 2 responses for "Between the Buns", one called Julio's Between the Buns, and one called simply Between the Buns.. Both are within 10 minutes of where I live (5 the way most people drive
) But I'm not certain which one it's actually gonna be held at. Any clarification?

Judas' post said the one next to Toys R Us. I'm no help, though. I get easily lost any time I go west.
Aye, very true, and I know a Toys R Us just off kingston pike, that could quite well be the one he means.. but I'm not certain that that's the ONLY one available in the general vicinity. Still, it's not all that hard to go to both if necessary, if I can drag my friends out to it. Now to find out if I need to eat beforehand..

Jenn, dahling, you can say X humped the floor while doing darling nikki.
I'll be there tonight, i miss having fun-
and if i'm there, you can count on something good, cus i don't just sing, i dance, i shake my ass, and sometimes i hump....and i have some special numbers for tonight.....so bring your dancing shoes.
(of course this couldn't be a skareoke party without the guy that made it fucking happen in the first place...right?)

Notice that I didn't mention any of the culprits' names from the above list with the exception of Judas, but I think half of Knoxville has now heard him do "A Thing Called Love", and half of those times, it has been by request of random people. And considering I've seen you dance to Darling Nikki at Sanctus, I had no doubt that you would own up to that one.

I was hoping you would come out.

And no, it wouldn't. See you later.
