The Polar Express

Okay at first I wasn't even going to review this because I didn't like it so much,. I would have complained about the absolute lack of story and meaningless "sub plots" (what was the point behind the tickets any way?), and if you were someone out side of this board I would have told you about how creepy it was ( and yes many, many children have begged their parents to leave the theatre).

BUT

Then I remembered this was a goth board :D . So coming at it from that point, well.... It still lacks a worthwhile story and such and the human characters are way stiff and POORLY done (considering the money and effort they put into them), (the female lead seems to be in a constant state of pinching one off, she also looks like a young conda liza rice) But on the other hand...

This movie is way creepy, the whole time I was watching it I felt like I was playing Silent Hill (the first one), in fact many of the scenes and characters seemed to be taken directly from the game.
All of the chracters are one step away from being Zombies or devils. Theres a ghost that seems to get off on being a ghost, again, and again, and again....... The train is enternally trapped in the Icy 7th layer of hell. Then there is the city at the north pole, the city of Dis. If your a B5 fan remeber the city of the evil Vorlons? That begins to touch on this city. Every street close, quite, empty...... and from the shadows you can hear Chathulu's sweet siren song calling to you. There's even a demonic version of steven tylor giving a concert for the damned.

It is said that hell is repitition, If so you get a tour of these damned souls continous "clebration" of Christmas.

The Details and The texturing are masturful (I think they spent 90% of thier time on the models and textures) the humans blow (basic video game style)

But again on the goth side this truley is "A NIGHTMARE OF CHRISTMAS"

Tom Hanks alone was enough to stop me from seeing the most recent Coen Brothers movie, Ladykillers. Tom Hanks and Xmas? I'm not touching that one with a 10 foot Festivus Pole.
