I just got the word:
Come one come all and ring in the New Year Eve old school style w/ DJ Bone!!!!!!

NO COVER
Ages 18+
Party Favors
Champagne Toast and Ballon Drop at Midnight
DJ Bone spinning 70s,80s,90s, retro dance!!!

Also I might add, I will also be kicking off a new dance night at Urban in January, Probably on First and Third Fridays of the month!

There will bunches o goth favorites, but these are not goth specific events. More of an open format that is very Goth friendly

Okay let me clarify a quick second - New Years is gonna be a retro party. 70,80,90's. Expect Funk to Club to Punk to New Wave. Ain't Nothin But a Party!!!!

As to cover as I understand right now it will be no cover! HOWEVER, let me double check that with the management. I will post all details here as soon as I know.

Now for Jan:
The new night in Jan is going to be dictated by crowd. It will be an "alternative dance night" meaning there will be a bunch o club, Trip Hop, EBM, Synthpop, New Wave, Alternative, bit o Punk, Techno, and so forth thrown in for good measure. The more of the KG crowd who shows the more the music will slant in the goth direction!!!!! In other words COME OUT AND BRING FRIENDS! Best of All: No Cover!

Hella yea! No Cover means you can spend that extra 5 bucks at the bar. Meaning the more the bar makes the better chance we have of keeping this around. Thanks again!

Hope you don't mind a pregnant lady coming...I'm bringing my hubby and our friend who is newly single from his bitchy girlfriend...my hubby's the only one that can drink though.

I haven't been on here in a while, and I was pretty new last time I was on, lol....been pregnant since then, I'm due at the end of February.

Anyways...what time should we get there? Have to go eat first..... :-?

Nice thing about Urban... you can get food there! I recommend the coconut shrimp or the grilled cheese with bacon... yum!

Thanks! I'm really excited, scared shitless, but excited! Could someome tell me how to get there? I'll be coming from the Maryville direction. My husband doesn't know where it is....lol.

I hope to meet a few people from this site out there; just look for a pregnant lady with reddish hair (hopefully there aren't too many there).

Okay, I'm not the best at directions, but hopefully, this will help.

Coming from Maryville, take 129 (Alcoa Highway) to Knoxville.
Merge onto I-40E toward Asheville.
Take exit 388 which is James White Parkway.
The first exit on your right will be for Summit Hill Dr. Take this exit and turn a slight right onto Summit Hill.
At the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Central Ave. (There will be a big parking lot on your left at this turn.)
Go straight on Central (< 0.1 miles) to the intersection with the four way stop.
Urban will be on the corner right in front of you on the left hand side. (There is a fenced in patio right in front of it which is part of the bar.)

That's where Urban is. Park wherever you can. There is street parking, and there are the pay lots. It depends on when you get there how crowded the place will be. Hope this helps.
