Something from the Cars would be cool. I'll let you pick the song.

All's I know is there are two ways to do this

Good 80s and

REALLY FUCKING BAD 80s

I think I may have to clean behind my refrigerator ( ;) pryjmaty) that night, but if I do show up please god don't play

99 luftballoons
the safety dance
melt with you
turn around (bright eyes)

or basically any other 80s shit that is played all the time anyways.

My recommendations are to stick with good 80s, like bauhaus, siouxsie, the smiths, the cure, the violent femmes, the police, yeah-the dead milkmen, etc. Think 80s college radio not crap 80s pop music.

Since I am a fan of the cure, the smiths, siouxsie sioux and the milkmen I will be playing them. I have a strong premonition that you will nto be happy with the music stylings of the night.

You and I both know that's never going to happen, unfortunately. Because, you know, bad 80s music is so good!

I still really don't get it. I grew up in the 80s, too. I'd rather forget the bad music, not celebrate it for kitsch value.

Then again, I think the problem may be that many in "the scene" never got into any of the "good 80s music" in the first place. It seems like most people went straight from Flock of Seagulls to Nine Inch Nails, with no Sonic Youth or Jane's Addiction inbetween.

I would be quite content to never hear "Rock Lobster" again in my entire life. And I don't even think it's a bad song.

But, it beats the shit out of "Love Shack", that's for sure.

(IF ANYONE PLAYS "LOVE SHACK" I WILL DECLARE SHENANIGANS)
