What have you bought lately??

I went nuts last night shopping (for me anyway)

Got a new Black leather corset (from wasted potential - thanks Thrall!)

Also got a black skirt that fishtails in the back, more fishnets and and more shoes from Torrid.

And some nifty designer costume jewelry from Belk (Givenchy-blood red ruby drop necklace & matching bracelet)

Now I just need a good riding crop.... :twisted:

Ummmm, I went a little nutty with the tax return money.

* new sewing machine YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!
* 2 orders from lush.com
* shoes, Shoes, SHOES (overstock.com, and Becky's shoes)
* books for me, for the children, for Jason/Arkady
* Fun t-shirts, one of which says Welcome to the Mustang Ranch (if you know what that is you'll think it's funny) with a vintage-y pinup.
* Some things for White Lightnin' Burly-Q costumes

And more that I can't remember. It's terrible, I tell ya.

Huh? I vaguely remember having one on you gave me, and it promptly fell off while I was dancing...?

No, not much for neon or glowy things... not since the late 80's. ;)

Some knee high leather 4 inch heel boots. and thigh high fishnets from intimate treasures.
I hate that saying: "You can't have your cake and eat it too."

Because what's the point of having cake when you aren't able to savour and enjoy every tastey morsel it has to offer you.....

* liquid eyeliner
* white and brown black eyeliner
* facial cleanser
* moisturizer
* lip conditioner
* toner

:roll: Jeez...I can't go anywhere without spending alot. I went to Walmart, spent like $160 on this sort of stuff, then went to the bookstore and spent about $100. How in the heck does that work? :shock:

Don't shop there or at Hot Topic, I worked there for a year and a half and all their shit falls apart. Its not worth the price unless you are getting the 40 percent employee discount.

I appreciate your concern, but, unless the fabric tears, I can always sew it back up. If something is the cut or style I need I'm willing to do that. Because when you are 4'11", you have to find clothes where you can that are cut to fit you right. And frankly, Layne Bryant has gotten really frumpy lately.

So far the only thing I've had fall apart that I bought at Torrid is a really thin t-shirt that just developed tiny holes, but I've bought a pair of pants, a skirt, a shrug/sweater before and 2 pair of shoes before this last purchase and so far are all holding up fine.
I don't tend to buy any of the stretchy knitwear stuff as it tends to have a short half-life anyway and is usually serged badly together.. I usually buy items made of a sufficiently heavy/sturdy fabric that it lasts longer. It's one of the things you learn when you sew a lot is to evaluate the fabric. I also don't get things with lace attached as the lace they put on stuff is so prone to tearing up.

None of this will matter soon anyhow as I've only got one more size to go down before I'm free of shopping at either place.
