Top 10 annoying driving habits
Try not to do these things if you value your life.
Most annoying driving habits:
1. Distracted drivers talking on cell phones (28.5 percent)
2. Slow drivers in the fast lane (21.6 percent)
3. Pushy drivers who tailgate (18.1 percent)
4. Drivers who weave through traffic to gain one or two car lengths (12.5 percent)
5. Obnoxious drivers who speed up to keep you from changing lanes (5.5 percent)
6. Hasty drivers who change lanes without signaling (4.9 percent)
7. Road Rage (2.7 percent)
8. Motorcyclists who race down the middle of a lane, between cars (2.1 percent)
9. Women applying makeup and men shaving (1.7 percent)
10. Drivers who leave their turn signal on for miles (0.92 percent)

I for one, would like to know why most motorcycle drivers drive like such fucking assholes. Going EXTREMELY FAST, passing on the right side using the shoulder, weaving in and out....they make me hope they smack a brick wall.
I also hate it when people tailgate you and try to pass you to gain a few car lengths. On a two lane, I especially enjoy going the same speed as the person in the other lane so the asshole behind us tailgating can't get around...muhahahaha.
Another thing that annoys the shit outta me is kids or babies not belted in or not in car seats.

Not that I condone it or anything, because I don't, but it is an awfully lot of fun.
Making a HONDA fast is like coming out of the closet, yeah you might suprise a few people; but in the end.. your still gay.

I hate it when people fly up the fast lane doing way way over the speed limit and don't even give me a chance to get over, because I have no problem moving into the slow lane to let somebody pass. But when people try to pass me in the slow lane, I will speed up to whatever is required to keep them from passing me in the slow lane. Hell, the only time I get in the fast lane is to pass people. I never just drive around in the fast lane.

Driving in Knoxville is annoying period. Since when does a green light mean STOP in Knoxville? Seems like it is law that was passed around here and I just didn't know about it until recently. I have to drive to the Cedar Bluff exit for my classes and today I was ready to drive off the road...between dumb drivers and about 2 hours of sleep total because of work and college, I thought I was going to die.
I am going to just give up and become a hermit.

Everyone knows that the left lane(s) are for going fast, and passing. I do a hell of alot of driving....hell to come see you all at temple or sanctus (RIP) i had to drive 3-4 hours one way....so i ran into these people alot....Yes I have road rage!

My major knoxville driver pet peeves...people who think 75 constitutes the fast lane--it doesn't.
And the one that really annoys the shit out of me (and this is a big thing for knoxville drivers)...when the light turns green...nobody moves. I mean...it's like they sit and think "hmm..what does green mean? let me get a book out and check..hmm *flipping through pages*...oh yeah it means go!" and then they slowly creep out into the intersection. It's like everybody is fucking asleep! I mean, if it turns green...I put my little foot on the gas pedal, and I go. That's a really simple concept, I think. Traffic would flow more slowly and would be less congested at certain major intersections if people would just goooo.
oh yeah, and here's a nice story for those of you who hate tailgaters. I was driving to work one morning and I'm going like..8-10 mph over the speed limit as it is. The person behind me is driving very fast and eventually catches up to me, and they are driving their morning cup of coffee. Then they start tailgating me, bad. I can't even see their headlights because they are so close. Well, I brake for animals, sorry if that annoys some people. So there was an animal in the road, and I had to brake. I didn't have to brake hard, or skid around...but I had to brake just the same. The animal moves..everything is okay. The person behind me gets coffee ALL OVER THEM, because they were tailgating me. They ended up having to slam on the brakes, then I see them pulling over. I was thoroughly entertained. I mean, if they'd been maintain the proper distance, it wouldn't have happened. Guess they're gonna think twice before tailgating like that again.

the only thing i've learned about driving around in this state..
people will NOT pull over and help if your hearse overheats and passes out. Its not like i have a dead body hanging out in the back or something..shit.
I've never had hot coffee in the crotch and I hope to never experience that one but I have had hot coffee down my leg on more than one occasion driving down the back roads in Sevier Co.
I hate my cupholders...they really suck!

While I don't go EXTREMELY FAST, or pass on the shoulder. I do ride faster than the flow of traffic on the highway. Reason: Safer. Helps keep me from riding along in someones blind spots (easy to do on a bike) and helps keep my danger zones in front of me rather than all around me. I have known several riders who have been hit from behind on the highway by idiots not paying attention to the road. I should also note this is also a technique taught to motorcycle police as a way to help keep them safe on the road.
There are a lot of squidly motorcycle morons on the road who treat the highway like its a closed corse race track. However, they're still not near as bad as people who drive with a cell phone pressed to their ear. 98% of the time someone does something stupid in car that nearly causes an accicdent with me, is talkin on their phone.
I would like to see TN pass a law against hand held phones when your driving. Save a life: Drive now talk later. The life you save may be your own. (if only by keep me from shoving the phone down your throat if you hit me while talking on one).

You know what I really hate when I drive...wait a minute...
Seriously though I'll give you the list...
People who ride your ass, because they are speeding and you are not. Even worse, I look like a 15 year old in a car, they should be safe.
People who don't know how to drive around curves and stay in their own goddamned lane. I've swallowed my own vomit about 5 times because of assholes like that.
People who walk on the road...Look, if there isn't sidewalk...please move into the grass when a driver is coming along.
Apartment complexes...and the parents of children who let them run around, and out in front of cars.
Being short...Do they not make cars for smaller people anymore. I'm not even a midget, but seeing over the hood of a car, is about as successful as me changing the oil.
Ooooh, major highways...These are my absolute favorite...why? Old people just never look before pulling out right in front of you while they are leaving their favorite Sunday dinner spot. That one is priceless...
And these aren't even the reasons I don't drive.

In response to an earlier mention about cellphones...this is how I see it. It's not so much the people with cellphones, it's the people who suck at multitasking...with cellphones. Generally they're not just on the phone, but talking..drinking coffee..doing god knows what..looking down at something. Then they look up and...bam, car accident. I can talk on my phone and drive, if I'm in bad traffic, I don't talk on my phone. I don't do alot of chit chatting on the phone either. usually just "I'm on my way home" type of stuff. For those who can not talk and drive-- it's called a bluetooth.

Yeah, exactly. I talk all the time on my cellphone. I talk, eat and am generally all kinds of distracted, yet I am able to constantly avoid idiots who can't multitask. I have never been in a car accident that was my fault.

My biggest driving pet-peeve is driving by a gas station and watching some big ass SUV fill up. Then three days later, it's back doing to same thing. Driving anything that gets less than 20 MPG is my pet-peeve!!!!
Even my 11 year old Civic still gets 34 MPG....
Yes, I'm a MPG snob!

my car gets decent gas mileage... and I'm not about to go buy a new car, for better gas mileage. However, if I were going to buy a new car... it certainly would not be a gas hogging SUV. I'd probably go with a hybrid something.

since my car has a turbo and a shit load of mods, my gas mileage has a significant correlation to how heavy my foot is. it ranges from about 15-30mpg. granted, I also need to tweak my fuel ratio some as i am running a tad rich.
i personally don't see anything wrong with driving a gas sucking suv. if they can afford it then whatever. its their right to drive whatever they want.

You think its right to more quickly use up fossil fuels that belong to all of us?
valid point. overall I just think it's foolish and impractical.
