Thriller: A Cruel Picture...

Post by cutelittlepsycho20 »

has anyone here seen this film? recently got it on DVD the other day. its a swedish film circa 1974 which is actually banned in sweden. there are some cool shot gun blasts to the gut and well there are sex scenes that you could compare to a porno. the coolest scene is the eye gouging with a scalpel.(rumored to have been a real corpse used for the shot) the girl in this flick is who Quentin Tarrantino based Daryl Hannah's character on in Kill Bill.

i guess you'd consider it a little raw for it's time but ehh i don't know. i just want to hear some other opinions on this.

I hate that saying: "You can't have your cake and eat it too."

Because what's the point of having cake when you aren't able to savour and enjoy every tastey morsel it has to offer you.....

I liked it. But for a film that claims to be so brutal, I found myself closing my eyes during the penetration shots rather than during her rampage. Those actors needed some handi-wipes.
If she were a street gang, I'd go to war with her with bottles and chains.

one of my all-time favorite exploitation flicks...no rumor btw...the director had a friend who snuck him into a local hospital and they used a real cadaver in the morgue for the eye shot....along w/ edwige fenech(sergio martino flick's which are A+),christina lindberg(old "one eye") is one of my favorite actresses from the 70's...i find it sometimes hard to suggest to some because of christina's body double's work in it,for the "real scenes" if you know what i mean...definately inspiration for darryl's character

speaking of twisted nerve,it was very cool to meet hayley miils at the expo....

as far as raw brutality i prefer Ichi the Killer. has to be my favorite flick.
every wonderful twist on violence is represented: torture, severe beatings, bone crunching, rape, arterial blood sprays, masochism, sadism, severing of limbs......the list goes on.
