Ah, but you don't seem to understand what the 23" Widescreen by Apple truly is until you get to sit in front of one....
(Yeah, my G5 at work has one of those center monitors - freaking SWEET!)
Um, I think that's the 30" in the center...
are you sure? based on scale and depth, when you compare the width to that of the keyboard, it doesn't look like it's 30".
i could be wrong, of course. i only have the 17" on the imac ("lamp shade" model) at work.
Compare the relative height differences of the monitors at http://www.apple.com/displays/ - the 20" isn't that much taller than the 23", but the 30" is that much taller than the 23".
We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.
Art student rules:
As objects become more distant, they appear smaller, because their angular diameter (visual angle) decreases.
Experiment:
My flatscreen at work is 15" wide.
my keyboard is 17" inches wide.
From my normal sitting position with the ruler floating even with the back of the keyboard makes the monitor appear to measure 12" wide. So the monitor will always appear a few inches narrower than it acutally is when compared to the keyboard which is closer to us than the monitor.
The photo above was taken from 4.5 to 5.0 feet away,
when I measure proportions of my screen to my keyboard they match the proportions of the side monitors to the keyboard.

Aside from that and speaking from a non-couputer geek perspective, the 3 monitors do look cool together, but I'd one all 3 to be like the one in the middle. Then it would remind me of the 3 panel mirrors you get to use when you go shopping.
