Well...if I had to pick, I'd say I ussually go more for the "punk" side...but I guess it doesn't really matter...

Currently, my type is Mother Mo and will be till she slams the door on me. As far as my type though, I believe all types are nice. I prefer a woman who can not fit into a specific category, and just be her own person. I really hate labels, sorry.

i, also, can't base on labels. people who fit into only one catergory are media sheep. i myself am a little bit of everything. anyone that knows/sees me on a regular basis knows that i definitely do not classify as "goth", despeite the fact that i post on a goth chat board and attend a few goth events. i try to appreciate most things, even if i'm not really into it i still respect it. example: i personally am not really into fetish, but i have many friends that are. i respect that they love it and i can appreciate most fetish shows, art, etc. i just don't bring it home with me. my ideal guy would be the same way, a bit of a chameleon with respect for things he may not be into or even understand. i like variety.

but here are some basic traits i seem to be attracted to in a guy:

i'm usually drawn to the quiet and mysterious type.
i've been known to go for the tall, dark, and handsome type. tall is just good either way.
i'm a sucker for guys with long dark hair in leather pants :shrug:

i often go for tall skinny guys.
i like nerds. not the computer geek type, but the "i collect comics, and old toys, lunchboxes. i still watch he man and transformers, etc" type
casual guys. granted dressing up to go out is good. but i like guys that don't feel the need to really think about what they are wearing to work. as long as it doesn't clash, its good.
funny guys. if a guy has a really unique sense of humor( morbid even) and personality, i'm drawn to it. it will compliment mine well.

theres more. far too much to list. i have to go to work.

I prefer Scooby Doo and Thundercats. And I do happen to collect action figures and comix.....weird. I am also tall and slender with long wavy dark brown hair, with dark brown eyes....and definitely morbid. And some of you like this? See, I wish I could say that, but unfortunatly I'm shallow, but at least I can be honest and say that looks are important to me. It's not the MOST important thing, but I couldn't date someone who made Gilbert Godfried look attractive you know what I mean. Right?

that doesn't neccesarily make you shallow or a sorostitute.

as long as looks aren't EVERYTHING to you, you're good. i agree that there has to be something appealing to me, looks wise. i don't expect drop dead gorgeous. but there has to be something for me to look at. eyes, a nice smile, hair, something. eyes are my favorite, beautiful eyes suck me in. bad teeth are a big loser to me. they don't have to be perfect & straight, but they do have to atleast been clean and well taken care of.

i prefer to believe that i am not skank nasty or butt ugly, so i would like to think the same of whom ever i choose to date. i try and do my best to take care of myself, so i expect them to do the same thing.

these are just givens though. usually, most of the people i meet and see on a daily basis are clean, take care of themselves, and have something appealing about. and even if they don't, a gleaming usually over shadows the rest.

Haha, cliche to say fuck labels, but what happed to the biggest sin of all? PRIDE. Im punk, love goth and punk women, simply cuz of the type of people who gravitate towards these lifestyles, they tend to be likeminded and have alot of common characteristics to them that I usually find attractive. The majority of social cliques are usually based on this, birds of a feather stick together. For me saying "im punk" as childish as it sounds or stupid, is much like saying "im irish" in which im proud of that aswell. The irish have much to be proud of, not only all the hardship they endured coming to a new country that didnt want anything to do with them, but in all theyve accomplished throughout history, same could be said for punks. Society has yet to fully accept us, they barely take in media friendly watered down "pop" versions of this over-exploited lifestyle. So forgive me for having pride and being happy in a lifestyle that allows me to find/be myself, and excuse me for being in a scene that brings me kickass music to listen to, and awesome bands to see. Take away the hardship endured and the constant battles fought on an almost daily basis just for our freedom to live live how we choose to. Oh yes, fuck labels... Thats rather narrowminded i think in itself to be anti-labels. Dont know, thats just my option.

I love a lifestyle that encourages free thinking and freedom of expression at all cost, even if it means allowing those we despise to have their right to it aswell.

Anyway, thats just my two cents. My vote goes for Punk and Goth.

Sorry to be so rash, but wouldn't "Freak" inevetably, fall into one of the other catogories, by default? Generally, "freaks", are trying to be either "Punk", or "Goth", & just can't quite grasp it. Rant aside...

The outer apperance is very important to me. Not the asthetics per se, but rather the demeanor. If a person can not carry themselves well, than it means that they have a sense to hide themselves. To shy away from outside factors. This leads me to assume low-self worth. Not interested. As far as the means of asthetic sub-culture apperance, it means very little to me, as long as that is who the really are. If I where to meet someone who put on a show as a "goth", or "punk", them slipped on some khaki's & dug on some Good Charlotte, well again not interested. Not because they chose a certain type of music, but because they had to put on a front. Fuck a ton of that!!! I would rather have a little precious, blonde, preppy girl, than someone who pretended that they where "goth". If you can't just own up to who you are, then you are just a waste of human flesh. Live up to your failures, live up to you triumphs. Live up to your creation. Just be your fucking self. That's all I want. That, & a sense of individuality, & commitment, without smothering me. If you can find the border, then I am yours forever!!!
