i won't forget about you junkie! i love you more and more everyday, and your opinion is one of the few that i truely value anymore.

jc, do you have faith that my attempts at gardening will be successfull?

yea id say it will be as successful as you allow yourself
its all on time, dedication, yaddayaddayadda
its a time dedication much like most things in life.

and yea, the more i think about it ive let a few people other than jillian get away with my hat...
ive got like 5 ims since i posted that to flip thru my photos and theres quite a few...
gwen here has, coor has, ibbie did drunk once, damia has, jackie, a few other people.... my hat gets around more than me. lol.

ok man, i'm about to pull my hair out with frustration.

i lived in lemoore, ca for 4 yrs. there was some kind of flower that was everywhere in that area (lemoore, hanford, viselia, fresno). you saw them all the time, like we see daffodils here. i don't know what it is, niether do my parents. i've searched google and all it gives me are florists. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

i can't seem to find a site that will let me browse flower species by pictures. i found a cacti site that would, but didn't find it. i think it was a form of cacti, but it didn't grow tall, it covered the ground and had a purple-ish fushia bloom.

its driving me crazy. i have to know what this flower is called. it is my mission for the weekend. i've googled everything description i can think of and all it brinngs back are fucking florists and poster co. any suggestions? :banghead:

i can try. the most common place i saw them was in the medians in the roads seperating the lanes. they weren't tall, maybe up to 5". it covered the gound like an ivy. the green "foliage" was similar to a cactus or maybe aloe, being that it was thick and came up to a point, but no spikes or pricklys. they had purple blooms, maybe about 5-6" in diameter, wide centers and thin daisy-like petals.

thats the best i can think of to describe them. any ideas?

its called a purple ice plant, one of the many breeds of ice plant which is in the cacti family. they are so common in cali, arizona, nevada because it is a hardy, drought resistant, perrenial. they are most commonly used as a ground cover.

strangely enough, i went to buy some flowers at the nursery down the street, and they had some. a smaller version, but the same thing. i wrote down the name and came home to look it up and BAM! they they were. AND they thrive well in this area! guess what i'm planting tomorrow.
