666: The number of... nothing, apparently

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

When it comes to $6.66 I always smile at the clerk and say "hey what do you know, my lucky number." pay, get my change, and walk off.

Bone wrote:(MOVIE TRIVIA MOMENT) everything that the main characters in "Doomed Generation" (MMM Rose McGowan) bought always came to $6.66. Perry Ferral of Janes Addiction even does a cameo as a convience store clerk and rings up, yes $6.66

I love that movie. It cracked me up how they could buy shit loads of stuff and the total would still be $6.66...no matter how much or little they bought.

I had a parking pass that had a great big 666 on it & kept it on my dash for years as a deterant for anyone wanting to break in. Worked like a charm.

I thought Doom Generation was one of the most jaw-droppingly dumb movies I've ever had the displeasure of watching.

I found it especially offensive because it seemed to be intended to be directed to people my age, who were in highschool in the 90-93 era, and people just weren't that fucking dumb.

The worst part of all was that horrible part where the guy is telling the story about "Man, I had this friend, and like, dude, his favorite band was the Smiths, and like, wow, he was so depressed" or whatever.

Jack...The point...The genious, if you will...Was the low-leveled intellegence of it...If you read the synapsis on the back cover of the VHS...It tells you EVERYTHING...It was meant to mock the stupid ass kids in the subcultures...So, you could go...That sounds like _____...& if you where offended by it...More than likely...You where part of the joke...I <3 you...But that's my $0.02...

I know, but it was mocking the stupidity of kids that weren't that stupid, is my point. If it had been about Marilyn Manson fans, I could see it. But it was supposed to be more old-school than that.

But yeah, I see your point, but I still didn't like the movie on any level.

Except the naked Rose McGowan, of course.

Gimme Natural Born Killers or Love and a .45 any day.
